It was a steamy night in St. Columban as the U16 girls played their last regular season game against Blyth. The girls were behind early and went into halftime down 2-1 with a single goal from Mel Nolan. They came back strong in the second half. Nicole Feeney scored to tie the game. Karissa Eckert scored on a beautiful break away goal and Mel Nolan added two for a final score of 5-2. Outstanding play by midfielders Sarah Barbosa, Karissa Eckert and Maranda Klaver as well as defenseman Kelsy Klaver and Char Louwagie made for an exciting game. The ever dependable Kate Flanagan was stellar in net once again. It was a great finish to a great season!
