St. Columban U11 girls vs North Middlesex
On a hot and humid, July 7 evening, the girls challenged North Middlesex on home turf.
Being shorthanded for the game, the team called up Victoria for help. Both teams played hard, but the heat was draining the girls. St. Columban was able to notch first goal, thanks to Campbell and assisted by Victoria. The girls battled, with big blocks by Kate, big kicks by Haylie, good passes by Dayna and Sammy and finally a goal by Victoria, assisted by Sheana and Erica.
Our defence clan of Meg, Keira, Abby, and Malina were able to hold off some rushes and get the ball out when needed. Hanna was able to play any position needed, and played well.
Goal keepers were Chelsea, Courtney, Campbell, and Hanna.
The final score was St. Columban 2 - North Middlesex 1
