U11 Challenge Cup Tournament
The West Middlesex youth soccer league held it's annual "Challenge Cup" tournament on July 16 at South Huron's complex.

Since our girls were able to grab first place standing in our league, we were granted a bye for our first game.
With the girls slated to play Grand Bend at midday, that gave them some time to practice and ready themselves for the match.
The girls knew that the first goal was critical, and thus, Keira answered the call by scoring on a penalty shot two minutes in.  Not long after, Chelsea notched her first goal of the game, with the help of Erica.  The girls played hard, and Chelsea was able to send a pass to Keira, who drove a shot from 12 yards out to mark her second goal of the match.  Hanna was able to round out the scoring, with an assist from Malina.   The shut-out went to Hanna and Campbell. The final tally was 4-0 for St.Columban.

The girls next game was pitted against second place Clinton.  The game would be tough, as the girls found out, but they held their ground.  Clinton was able to notch a goal in the second half and that stood as the winner.  Clinton won 1-0, and went on to win tourney.
