U13 Boys Dominant in Season Opener
The U13 boys traveled to Wingham on Tuesday night for their first game of the season. Within minutes Greg R. (aka Digger) found the back of the Wingham net to set the pace of the game. St. Columban would dominant ball control in the first half keeping the ball in the offensive zone.
Nathan E. and Digger would each add another goal to end the first half 3-0, with Kody O. leaving the net with a shut-out.
Wingham gained momentum in the 2nd half, it would prove to be more of a battle for ball control. The Wingham goalie was a force to be reckoned with, stopping shot after shot. Finally part way through the 2nd, Nathan was able to add another marker to the score. With less than a minute of play Wingham would foil the shut out for Cole M., sneaking one past to end the game 4-1.
Great game boys, playing like a team and you've only just met. Can't wait to see what the rest of the season brings.
