30 Goals in the month of June
The U13 St. Columban boys have been working hard in the month of June scoring 30 goals in only 4 games.  June 7th Wingham travelled to St. Columban.  Kyle Eisler proved that the 4th time is a charm sinking the first goal 8 minutes in.  Eisler would add two more goals, Darren Feltz and Nathan Earl each added two.  Josh Bedour scored a powerful one-timer on a sweet pass from Carter Preszcator.  Cole Melady & Josh Ulch would each add a goal to bring the score to 10.  Ben Tenhag was minding a quiet net, itching to get in the game creeping up to mid-field.  A speedy Wingham player snuck past him to foil the shut-out.  Final score 10-1.

The following week the boys travelled to Clinton with a smaller bench than usual to suffer their first loss of the season.  Clinton was quick to score just one minute in to set the pace of the game. Clinton scored again before Kody O'Rourke answered back bringing the game back in reach at 2-1.  Preszcator would also find the back of the net but it wasn't enough for the win.  Final score was 4-2.  Both Melady and Greg Reidy took a turn in net.

June 21 back in St. Columban against Goderich the boys would show they were back in control scoring 9 goals and recording the shut-out for O'Rourke and Tenhag.  Tenhag, Owen Gemmell, Owen Taylor, Eisler, O'Rourke, Melady and Preszcator all scored one, with Earl finding the back of the net twice to record the 9-0 win.

June 28 the boys travelled to Seaforth for a 9-2 win. Reidy scored the first and the last goals of the game.  Preszcator and Earl each scored twice.  Single markers were added by Colin Campbell, Taylor, Kase Schoonderwoerd.  Seth Morgan, Preszcator and Melady set up some nice passes for the assists.  Aiden Wilson and Gemmell shared the net-minding.

Overall the boys are playing strong; lots of passing, talk on the field and utilizing their solid defense to their advantage have given them the edge.  Playing as a team and not individuals has been their key to success.
