U9 Girls Take It All
On Saturday July 22, the U9 Girls arrived at their proper destination. After a stellar season the girls played a championship game against a strong Clinton team. Pouring rain didn't seem to phase these young ladies. Emily M. was the first to pop one in the net, midway through the first half. Back and forth action continued but the scored remained at half time.
With cold wet parents on the edge of their seats, Ella B finally grabbed one of her own from a perfect corner kick by Grace K. With a little breathing room the girls settled into their groove. Strong defence by Torie C and Mackena V kept the opponents away from their goal tender. Jayda D moved the ball extremely well up the field sending Anna W into seal a goal of her own. Heather O solid goal tending kept the team with 0 goals against through the playoff season.
Congrats Ladies on a terrific season, and well earned hardware!!
