St.Columban Celtic U11 girls vs Lucan Irish
On July 13, the girls made the trek to Lucan to meet the Irish.
This game would prove to be the hardest of the season so far. Lucan started the game with their "physical" play, and never let up. This held the girls back at first, but they soon realized they could compete as well. Lucan controlled most of the first half, and eventually scored. After the girls re-grouped at half time, they came out stronger, and were awarded a penalty shot. Haylie knew her job, and notched the goal needed to push the girls. Shortly after, Ava R scored, from a perfect pass from Abby. As the game wound down, Abby marked her second goal, with the help of Courtney. The defence squad of Sydney, Haylie, Averi, and Ava V were a wall. All the girls, worked hard on this win, and without Sarah in net making "game changing" saves, the outcome would have been different.
