U11 St.Columban Celtic Girls Vs Taxandria
July 20 - On a very hot and humid Thursday evening, the girls hosted Taxandria for the second time this season. From the hop, the girls pressed hard and within the first 4 minutes, Campbell was able to drill a shot pass the Taxandria keeper, thanks to Courtney with a great setup.
Not long after the girls first goal, Keeper Sarah made an outstanding save from a free kick, within the 18 yard box. As the first half wound down, Kate M was able to get her first marker of the season, with the help of Haylie's huge kick up the field. Within minutes, Ava R rushed down the field and hit the mesh as well, thanks to Emma's pass.
The second half the girls continued to dominant, and Emma, Ava R, and Courtney each picked up a goal. Assists going to Courtney and Lilly, who floated a perfect pass in front of the Taxandria net.
As always, Sarah played a solid game in net, and did what needed done. Our defence was a wall with Averi and Sydney controlling the sides, and Haylie and Lilly the centre.
Final score 6-0 for the girls.
