Lucknow travelled to St. Columban on July 25. The girls came out to play after suffering a
tough loss to Lucknow early in the season.
Sarah K. got the energy pumping when she sailed one in on a sweet direct
kick. Off to a good 1-0 start. Now the momentum is going, Sarah K finds the
net again off a great pass from Arianna C.
It’s 2-0 St. Columban at half-time.
Lucknow is eager but there was no stopping St. Columban now. The girls keep the ball headed at Lucknow’s
net with Hannah N., Sheana B. and Taylor R all finding the back of it in the
second half.
Game ended 5-0 for St. Columban, great hard work by all the girls to show Lucknow how we play. Thanks to U11 call ups Ava R. and Lily B for rounding out the roster and proving to be a great addition to the team. Net minding duties were shared by Chelsea V., Katie R., and Hannah N. to earn the shut-out.
Two days later on July 27 the U13 girls travelled to Wingham. With the rush of the Lucknow win still fresh this small field was no competition for these girls, moving the ball around no problem. Sheana B started the scoring off early in the game and the girls never quit. Taylor R. , Arianna C. and Sarah K. all added 2 goals, with Erica M., Katie R., Chelsea V also added singles enroute to the 10-0 win. Katie R. and Hannah N added a couple of assists each. The shut-out was earned by Chelsea V, Katie R., Keira D. and Hannah N. Great work St. Columban!
