St Columban U 18 girls hosted Goderich on May 10 for the season opener. The evenly matched teams were back and forth and both had several opportunities to score. Goderich opened the scoring mid way through the second half with a beautiful shot from well outside the 18 yard line that found the top corner. The St Columban girls would persevere when Bre Schoonderwoerd found the back the night on a goal mouth scramble with under a minute to go. Strong goal tending by both Sarah and Nicki Van Bakel.
