Lexi Brown Memorial Tournament
On 9 June 18, the u15 girls competed in the first annual Lexi Brown memorial tournament in Wingham, ON. St. Columban girls defeated Lucknow in a tight first game of the day 1-0 with a goal from Samantha McCarthy. Playing immediately after against Brussels resulted in 0-0 in regulation, with Brussels coming out on top in a shoot out. After a 1 hr lunch, St Columban had to face Lucknow again, but came out on top with a 5-0 score including 4 goals by Sarah Klaver and 1 by Alexis Hoste. St Columban faced Brussels again in the finals with a 2-1 victory. Kennedy McGregor scored on a penalty shot and Kiara Driscoll had the game winner. Kennedy Huether did most of the goal duties with Katelyn Roth also filling in for a period.
The girls had a great day playing with a roster of only 12 players.
