"Return To Play" Survey from OSA
Hello St.Columban SC Family,
As we move into the month of May we would normally be looking forward to the beginning of the outdoor soccer season, attending soccer practice with teammates and playing some soccer games. With these being anything but normal times, we instead continue to fight back against COVID-19 and do our best to 'flatten the curve' by practicing social distancing. All of us are patiently waiting for an opportunity to participate in some of the activities that we love to do, to return to the pitch and to get back to playing the game we love. We will only "Return to Play" when it is safe and after receiving the direction from medical experts, our provincial government and the Ontario Soccer Association (OSA).
The OSA, in consultation with the Canada Soccer Association and government authorities, announced that it has been monitoring the most recent developments of COVID-19 and are assessing operational plans for "Return to Play". On April 27, 2020 the provincial government announced a phased-in approach to de-escalating the State of Emergency in Ontario. The OSA has been invited to be part of an Ontario Government sport sub-committee to assist with the management and strategy of how amateur sport navigates through the COVID-19 pandemic. To better understand your concerns, the OSA has created a survey so you can provide your input on "Return to Play".
The OSA has asked us to share this survey with all of our members to ensure their ideas are heard and taken into account. Survey data collected will assist the OSA with the "Return to Play" strategy and may also be shared with the Ontario Government sub-committee on sport. The deadline for submission is May 11, 2020. To take this survey and help shape "Return to Play" please use this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/OSRTP
I would encourage you to take a few minutes to complete the survey.
On behalf of St.Columban SC I would like to wish each and everyone one of you the best of health during these extremely difficult times.
Take care of one another and stay home and stay safe!
Jason Dietz
