St. Columban Return to Play - Parent Protocol

St. Columban Soccer - Parent Protocol

 

Parents

ü  Recognize and Assess- The Covid-19 virus is transmitted via droplets during close, unprotected contact with an infected person or by touching an infected surface and then touching your eyes, nose or mouth. It can cause a range of symptoms including sore throat, cough, fever and shortness of breath. If you or someone you have been in contact with either at work, home or at soccer related activities begins to exhibit any of these symptoms, it is imperative to inform your coach and St.ColumbanSC president Jason Dietz 519-870-1139 immediately. Any player/parent who is exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19 or other illness should stay home. In addition, you should self-isolate, contact Telehealth Ontario 1-866-797- 0000 and contact your primary health care provider.

ü  Follow these general hygiene protocols 1) Wash hands with hand sanitizer immediately before leaving home, after soccer activities, and during scheduled breaks in soccer activities. Hand sanitizer stations will be provided at St.Columban Soccer Club. 2) No spitting or nose clearing at any time. 3) Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your elbow (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze. 4) Avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth. 6) Any individual soccer equipment should be taken home after each soccer practice session and washed separately from other laundry in the household. 7) Avoid the use of public toilets, however if necessary, ensure hands are washed thoroughly with soap after use of these facilities. Also, use hand sanitizer.

ü  Ensure child is healthy and has no sign of COVID-19 symptoms.

ü  Remind players to arrive to training dressed, shin guards and socks on, soccer cleats on and ready to go, as change rooms will not be available.

ü  Ensure to check-in with coach/field marshal/volunteer for completion of attendance at the soccer activity. This must be done upon entry and on exit from soccer facility.

ü  Drop and pickup player while maintaining desired rules and regulations around pick-up/drop-off and being a spectator if allowed.

ü  Only one parent/guardian attending soccer activities.

ü  Parents/guardians to keep a reasonable distance from the field. Follow and respect direction from field marshal/volunteers.

ü  Physical distancing of two (2) metres (6 feet) must be maintained and respected. No more than 1 person per 4m².

ü  Do not carpool unless with immediate family members.

ü  Arrive no more than 25 minutes prior to activity commencing.

ü  Avoid congregating at facility entry and exit points.

ü  At home, ensure all the player’s equipment is washed separately from the other laundry and household items.

ü  Snacks should be discouraged, however if allowed, ensure they are consumed and/or disposed of on site and not taken home.
