Tough Loss on the Road
Despite a very hard effort, the U9 St. Columban Celtics fell to South Huron 1-0 Wednesday evening. The first half saw some great goal tending by Heather Ogilvie but a tough top corner shot managed to get past her leaving the girls down by 1 at half. St. Columban battled hard but were unable to even up the game in the second half. Davita Cronin made some incredible saves to keep them at one. St. Columban saw some great defending by Charlee Gethke, Rachel Haefling and Ella Brodhagen. Hard offense was displayed by Alexa Burtenshaw, Haileigh Templeman, Katrina Bolinger, and Avery McCarthy. Ogilvie and Cronin played strong offense as well when they were not goal tending. Great effort. Keep up the good work.
