U13 Girls, U13, 2016 (St. Columban SC)

The girls had a great game against Blyth with a score of 5-2 St Columban. In the first half 3 goals were scored by Sarah, Laura and Alexis. In the second half Sarah scored 2 goals for the hat trick to make it 5-2.  Congratulations girls on your first place finish for the season.  Good luck in the finals!  Way to go girls!

St. Columban took the lead with a goal by Arianna.  Wingham quickly netted one to tie it up.  St Columban took a 3-1 lead in the first half with goals by Kiara and Allysa.  Gabi, Kennedy, Abby, Sarah and Arianna showed some great passing abilities that helped with the 3 first half goals.  In the second half, Wingham scored to make it 3-2.  St. Columban turned it on and scored 4 more goals to take the win 7-2.  Goals were scored by Sarah, Abby, Samantha and Katie.  Laura, Emily, Maddie, Taylor and Samantha were awesome on defence to keep Wingham from scoring more goals.   Great effort girls!

After losing the first match against Goderich, St. Columban worked hard to win the second match 4-2.  St. Columban started the scoring in the first half with a goal by Allysa, assisted by Sarah.  Goderich came back to tie it. St. Columban went ahead with a goal by Sarah, assisted by Abby and Allysa.  In the second half St. Columban took a 3-1 lead by a goal by Sarah, assisted byShawna and Kiara.  Sarah then scored her third for the hat trick, assisted by Bernadette and Kennedy.  Goderich added another goal ending in the 4-2 win.  Great job girls!

Keeping the winning streak alive, St. Columban won over Blyth 6-1.  It was 2-0 after the first half with Bernadette getting the shutout.  Goals were scored by Alexis(2) and assists were by Trinity, Sarah and Gabi.  In the second half Blyth came on strong and scored an early goal making it 2-1.  With Gabi's awesome saves in net the second half, St Columban was able to break away.  Sarah scored a penalty shot making it 3-1.  Abby scored to make it 4-1 with assists by Allysa and Alexis.  Katie netted one to make it 6-1 with assist by Taylor.   

The St. Columban U13 girls continued to hit the net with a 5-1 win over Clinton. The girls took a 3-0 lead after the first half.  Clinton started strong in the second half scoring an early goal.  St. Columban responded with 2 more for the 5-1 win.  Goals were scored by Alexis, Allysa, Gabi and Sarah(2).  Assists by Sarah, Samantha, Katie, Shawna, Alexis, Arianna and Kiara. Great team work girls!  Keep up the hard work!
