Goderich opened the scoring in the first half which may have discouraged the St. Columban team considering this is the first time they have found themselves in this positions, being behind in the scoring situation. Finally Delayna Smith was able to weave around the Goderich defense and tipped one in.   In the second half, Emma Flanagan assisted Delayna Smith to score a second goal for St.Columban to pull ahead.  Hand balls called on each team in the box resulted in penalty shots but neither ended in a goal.  The fans and Coach Frank Flanagan were on the on the edge of their seats as each ...

Friday July 19, 2013-U 14 girls In the semi-finals against Blyth In the first half, St. Columban's Lauren Anstett assisted Kyra Pietchman to score the first goal of the game. St. Columban put on a ton of pressure and Delayna Smith scored the second goal With less than a minute left, in the game Delayna sealed the deal for St.Columban 3-0

Wednesday July 17, 2013 U 14 girls, In Goderich against Lucknow    St.Columban's Delayna smith scored and Lucknow scored as well to go finish the  first half in a tie   Off a solid pass from Bre Schoonderwoerd, Delayna Smith got another goal for St Columban The ever dependable goalie, Nicole Van Bakel had some amazing saves along with a lot of consistent defensive plays by Hilary Feeney, Rachel Klaver, Avery Whyte, Myah Vingerhoeds, and Mikaylee Klaver allowed for a final score: 2-1 for St.Columban Stay tuned for next weeks report for the finals!

U 14 girls first game of the playoffs against Seaforth Corner kick by Emma Flanagan set Lauren Anstett perfectly to score St.Columban's first goal The second goal didn't come until well into the second half when Lauren Anstett sent a hard shot past the Seaforth keeper off another pass from Emma Flanagan After a water break, Seaforth gained some momentum and were able to score one. Clinton for the last game of the regular season  Clinton scored two goals before St Columban's Bre Schoonderwoerd was able to put one past the Clinton Keeper, well into the second half.  Not long later Schoonderwoerd netted a second shot, assisted by Delayna Smith Final score, 2-2.
