St. Columban U10 #1 has finished the regular season on an up swing. Three wins and a tie in the last four games of the season. Every player played an important part in each of the wins. The goal scorers in Sarah, Kennedy, Joe, Ashton, Kyle, Seth and Korbin. Our defense of Matthew, Kiera, Erica, Nathan, Jacob and Emily. Of course, our players that took a turn in the net were very important as well. We also owe a lot to our U8 players who came in to help us out when some of our regular players couldn't be there. Ben, Quinn, Cole and Jackson all played great and were a real asset to the team.
Now on to the playoff tournament. Look our Bayfield because St. Columban U10 #1 is coming. Thanks for good season.

Tonight, the fans were treated to a well played game by everyone on the field. Each player was eager to show the other team how much "green" wanted to get the ball. You could see each of the players looking to see where to pass to next and kicking the ball hard enough to get it to the intended player. Ashton started the scoring off early in the first half but Lucknow tied it up before the half was ended. With a quick goal to start the second half Joe followed it up with another to make it 3-1. All the fans were cheering loudly with lots of encouragement which kept the team playing together.

After a tough start to the season, the U10 #1 team is starting to come together. It was a slow start to the game tonight with Lucknow scoring 2 goals in the first half but after half time, St. Columban came out ready to show Lucknow what they were made of. Kyle scored our only goal of the game but it brought life to the members of the team. Our goalies did a good job keeping Lucknow to 2 goals. Jacob started us off in net with Seth spelling him off just before 1/2 time and coming back to start the second half. After some great saves it was Joe's turn to hold them down and it worked.
What an improvement since last week. Keep it up U10 #1.
