St. Columban U 18 girls battled on another scorcher of a night in South Huron with just one substitute.
St. Columban had plenty of chances early but failed to capitalize. South Huron pulled ahead on the score board with 3 goals by the end of the first half. Early in the second half a good effort by Maddie H resulted in a penalty kick which she scored on. Shortly thereafter, a scramble in front of the South Huron goal resulted in Maddie's second marker of the game. Mid way through second half, she would complete the hat trick with a beauty shot after a throw in by Clare H. Strong goal tending and some key saves late in the second frame by Sarah VB as well as a gritty effort by the St. Columban squad would result in a 3-3 draw. Special thanks to the u15 players who came out to help-Khloe E, Clare H, Maddie H and Sarah VB
