The St. Columban Shamrock put together a total team effort against a strong Brussels team tonight coming away with a 3-1 victory.
Stellar goaltending was displayed at both ends of the field. Kody Eisler made numerous key saves including an across the net flying save to preserve the lead for St. Columban.
Ethan Meinen netted the first goal for the home team and then James McCarthy outran the Brussels defender to net the go ahead goal. McCarthy also netted the third goal from a penalty kick.
The boys final game will be on Saturday in Goderich. Good luck boys.

The Shamrock boys took on Blyth Monday night, and Blyth came out in a blazing start scoring 2 goals in the opening minutes.
The Shamrock battled back and with Ashton King and Ethan Meinen scoring late in the first half St. Columban was able to tie up the game at 2-2 at the break.
Daniel Reidy put the Shamrock ahead with a penalty kick goal, but Blyth battled back and were able to tie up the game late in the second half.
Kody Eisler and Wes Terpstra divided the goaltending duties and did a great job turning away numerous Blyth chances.

The U11 Shamrock travelled to Seaforth on Monday night and despite some wet weather were able to but together another strong game and came away with a 12-1 victory.
Kody Eisler, James McCarthy, and Ashton King all netted hat-tricks while Kyle Dolmage, Jeromy Vanderwall and Ernest Smith all added single goals.
Wes Terpstra and Brayden Glauser shared goal tending duties and managed to turn away all but one of the Seaforth efforts.
