Shamrocks travel to Goderich tonight to face the best team in the league and the bugs looking to secure a playoff spot in the finals. The Shamrocks started out strong and almost scored three times in the first three minutes when Jackson finally put one in with help from Cole and the mighty defence.  That woke Goderich up who rallied with two to end the first half.  Plenty of chances for the Shamrocks who seemed to run out of gas to the more experienced Goderich team that then turned it up a notch.  Shamrocks scored again late in the game but that was no match for the seven goals that Goderich scored. Corbin and Jace shared goal tending duties tonight and they were busy.

We knew it was going to be a difficult game with 6 our players away.  Coach John was working the phones hard this past week calling up recruits from U11 girls and U9 boys teams and his scouting report was bang on.  Mixed with our 8 regulars the game was much closer than expected.  Although our first playoff game was a loss we could not be more proud of the effort that was on display last night.  What a fun game to watch.  Well done Shamrocks.

Its a cold night for soccer but the Shamrocks are heated up for a much needed win tonight before playoffs start. Jackson opens up the scoring with help from Quinn and Noah. Emerson scores next with help from the same duo.  Cohen scores as well as Jackson with help from Cole and Jace. Cole puts one in on his own and Clinton answers back with one. Clinton scores twice in the second half but the Shamrocks answer back with two more from Corbin assisted by Finlay and Finlay assisted by Quinn. Goal tending duties shared by Corbin and Cohen.  Great team effort tonight boys.
