St Columban vs Clinton
On 18 Jun 18 at St. Anne's Secondary School in Clinton, St Columban emerged with a 2-0 win over Clinton. Sarah Klaver made a great play early in the first half by keeping the ball in play sending it over the Clinton goalie where Samantha McCarthy was ready to sacrifice her body to re-direct the ball in to the net. Later Sarah Klaver managed to squeeze the ball through a maze of Clinton players to Alexis Hoste standing by herself for an easy tap in for the second goal in the first half. Kennedy Huether played a strong goalie in the first half. Kiara Driscoll eagerly volunteered for the second half to secure the shutout. Kiara Driscoll has several stellar stops including stopping the ball while diving backwards just before the goal line.
