Playoffs were off to a great start
After a very hard fought game the St. Columban U15 boys came out on top with a 3-2 victory against Clinton! Clinton was on the score board first but Kase Schoonerwoerd opened the scoring for us with a beautiful kick that tipped off the goaltenders fingers into the top corner of the net.
After a hard rush down the left side Owen Taylor took a shot that gave out a rebound for Darren Feltz who put it in the back of the net making it 2-1. We held Clinton off with some solid defence but they were able to score a goal bringing the game back to two a piece with only a few minutes remaining. However, we didn't give up and managed to push to the very end where Bennett Smith sent a through ball to Owen Taylor who beat their defenders with some speed and then the goaltender making the final score 3-2! It was a great team effort that led us over Clinton in our first playoff game of the round robin, stay tuned as we head to Goderich next week.
