U13 Boys, U13, 2016 (St. Columban SC)

On July 28th, U13 St. Columban boys challenged Clinton for the “A” Championship game.  Facing the opponent that handed them their only loss of the season on Clinton's home pitch, the boys were pumped for the match.

Finishing only one point ahead of Clinton in regular season the boys would face them for the first play-off game.  Carter Preszcator took charge right away scoring only minutes into the start of the game with Nathan Earl adding another seconds later.

Final league game for U13 boys was played July 5th in St. Columban versus Lucknow.  Greg Reidy proved to have the hot foot scoring three goals.  Owen Gemmell was also on fire scoring two goals.  Kase Schoonderwoerd would add one for a final score of 6-0.  Some beauty passes by Carter Preszcator taking two assists, Joey Hill, Kyle Eisler and Schoonderwoerd would also set up for some nice assists.  Ben Tenhag stood tall in net with relief from Colin Campbell in the final quarter for the shut-out. 

The U13 St. Columban boys have been working hard in the month of June scoring 30 goals in only 4 games.  June 7th Wingham travelled to St. Columban.  Kyle Eisler proved that the 4th time is a charm sinking the first goal 8 minutes in.  Eisler would add two more goals, Darren Feltz and Nathan Earl each added two.  Josh Bedour scored a powerful one-timer on a sweet pass from Carter Preszcator.  Cole Melady & Josh Ulch would each add a goal to bring the score to 10.  Ben Tenhag was minding a quiet net, itching to get in the game creeping up to mid-field.  A speedy Wingham player snuck past him ...

U13 St. Columban boys travelled to Lucknow May 31 for their toughest match yet.  Lucknow was first to score, floating one over the head of goaltender Isaiah Sills.  Josh Bedour evened up the score shortly after on a rebound sent to the net by Kyle Eisler.
