St
Columban U18 girls' three game winning streak came to an abrupt halt as a strong
Seaforth team handed them a 6 – 0 loss in the semi-final match on Aug 9, played
in Seaforth. Midfielders, Breanna
McCarthy, Sarah Van Bakel, Mikaylie Klaver, Claire Horan, and Khloee Eisler
battled hard and were effective at taking away the middle, but in the end the
home team would prevail. Nicki Van Bakel was stellar in goal, coming through
with plenty of spectacular saves. More action to come as St Columban plays for
bronze at 9:30 on Saturday morning Aug 12 in St Columban.
